Charity Commission updates financial guidance

The Charity Commission has published four updated sets of financial guidance for charities and their advisors covering risk management; reserves and internal financial controls.

The guidance has been revised to reflect new developments and the challenging economic climate that charities now face. It covers the main points of financial management, planning and control in the context of charity law and good practice.

Children England West Midlands: Commissioning and Personalisation Networking Event

Want to offer great services to children, young people and families?
Want to share your experience and learn with others in the same boat in the Voluntary and Community Sector?
Want to find out the latest information about commissioning and personalisation?

By the end of the morning attendees will have:

  • An understanding of the current commissioning landscape across the West Midlands including the impact of the national picture regionally and locally
  • Had an opportunity to discuss current commissioning practice with colleagues and an ‘expert’ from the field
  • An understanding of the key thinking behind the personalisation agenda and its implications for children, young people and families, and the voluntary sector
  • Had an opportunity to discuss the implications of personalisation with colleagues and an ‘expert’ from the field
  • Had an opportunity to network, share experience and learn from colleagues across the region

The G:XL Project, workstream 3: Voice and Influence

G:up is inviting Voluntary and Community Sector(VCS) infrastructure organisations who support the children and young people’s (CYP) sector across the West Midlands in a bid to deliver the Voice and Influence work stream (budget £38,900), within our G:XL project.

This commission (and budget) starts from June 2010 and we anticipate the work being completed by July 2012.
