Disability Grants Website

Do you have a Disability?

Are you a parent or carer of a Disabled child or adult?

If so, use this website to save time finding Disability Grants.

Charities and Trusts provide funding towards the high cost of disability equipment, holidays, housing, days out… in fact anything above and beyond the normal costs of everyday living.

“Over the past 15 years my family has used grants to help fund trikes, wheelchairs, adaptations to our home, medical equipment and specialist holidays for my disabled son.

“With this support, my son was able to cycle back from school with his friends, join us for a family meal in the kitchen and experience the exhilaration of wheelchair abseiling.

“His new wheelchair funded by one of the charities on this site not only increased his independence and mobility but also his street cred – Absolutely essential for a teenager”.

Searching for extra funds takes time – in between work, hospital appointments, caring, therapies; and the hundred and one other things we all have to juggle every day.

So save time by sharing Knowledge, Information and Resources via the Disability Grants Website.

Fairbridge has been awarded a NEET contract by European Social Fund in conjunction with Working Links to work with young people known to connexions between the age of 16-18 (or up to 24 with a statement of Learning Difficulties).

This contract enables them to work with young people that are not in employment, education or training (NEET) with a view to giving them the opportunity to build confidence, self esteem and the motivation to access pathways into employment, education or training.

This 12 week course starts with a 6 day introduction to Fairbridge followed by a structured process centred around personal and social skill development through a range of challenging activities including; rock climbing, gorge walking, canoeing, sports, employability workshops, residential activities and much more. During the 12 week programme young people will have the opportunity to develop employability skills, independent living skills, community and recreation skills and learning skills. Each young person will have a dedicated outreach worker to support them with action planning on a 1:1 basis, designed to support young people in the achievement of their long term goals. The aim of the programme is to empower and encourage young people to challenge themselves to make a positive change and to take the next step into employment, education or training.

Towards the end of the 12 weeks each individual’s journey will be assessed with them to find the appropriate next step.
