This work may appeal if you have worked in an advice role in the past, but appropriate training is given as necessary.

Volunteer as an Active Travel Champion

Are you a keen walker or cyclist?  Could you inspire people to walk and cycle more often?

Sustrans is looking for people to volunteer as Active Travel Champions.

We need champions to give advice about walking and cycling and/or set up walking and cycling activities.

Sustrans will provide you with training and all the materials and support you will need to help people to get onto their bikes and their feet.

You can volunteering your workplace, community or school.

As an Active Travel Champion you could plan and deliver some of the following activities:

Are you looking for offices & activity premises?

Are you a small to medium-sized community group or organisation looking for space for offices and / or activities? We may have a solution for you!

Birmingham New Communities Network and The Digbeth Trust are seeking interested groups / organisations to pool collective resources to secure shared offices / activity space in Birmingham.

In addition we would also want to explore the sharing of reception, administrative, stationary and supply ordering etc.

NCVO statement…
‘Organisations can use collaborative working to share premises and/or back office services: the supporting functions which enable organisations to carry out their charitable activities. Sharing back office services can mean they are delivered more efficiently than if each organisation were to provide these services themselves in-house’.
